Derby Tuesday Darts Pub & Club League Rules
General
- The league shall be called the - Derby Tuesday Darts- Pub and Club League.
- All teams must submit their player registration forms at the arranged meeting prior to the start of the league season
- County players must be indicated on the registration form
- All teams are allowed to submit a separate late player registration sheet up to the halfway point of the league season.
- Any players that are not included on either of the registration forms will be classed as an unregistered player. Any games these players partake in will result in the team forfeiting the whole game to the opposing team and a £10 fine per player.
- County players are - not - allowed to sign the late player sheet
- Any player who is signed for a team in another Tuesday night darts league cannot play in the Derby Tuesday Pub and Club Darts League.
- The licensee and partner of the establishment are automatically eligible to play, but - do need to sign the registration sheet.- This includes any change of licensee or partner during the season (A specimen signature must be provided on any change).
- All results sheets must use the full registered player name, nick names are not permitted.
- All annual cups and trophies remain the property of the league and may never be won outright. Any trophies lost must be paid for by the players of that team.
- Players fees must be paid at the first league meeting.
- Any team wishing to postpone a game must notify their opponents as soon as possible.
- If notification is less than 24 hours, all points will be awarded to the opposing team and the team must pay a £10 fine.
- 5 points will be awarded to the opposing team.
- In order to claim the points, the opposing team must submit a signed team sheet at the next league meeting.
- If agreed upon by both teams, a league match may be rearranged. The rearranged match must be played before the end of the half of the season. (Committee must be notified of any rearranged fixtures). No double header games will be allowed
- No game can be cancelled for a football game.
- If 1st and 2nd or 2nd and 3rd teams are level on points at the end of the season, then there will be a play off fixture to determine league champion and runner-up.
- Players under 18 years old are allowed to play as long as they have gained the landlord's permission
- Any case of misconduct or dispute should be reported to the League Secretary in writing or emailed within seven days of the incident. Any protest later than 7 days will not be dealt with.
- If a team drops out of the league during the first half of the season then their registered players can play in the second half of the season, so long as all monies owing by that team are paid or part off. They must have signed the late sheet for their new team and will be cup-tied from the knock-out team competitions and unable to play in these cup fixtures.
- Any player that has registered to play in individual and double competitions are able to continue to take part in these competitions provided they are eligible to do so (See Individual and Pairs Cup rule 2) -
- Each team must be represented at the monthly league meetings. One meeting per season may be missed provided the committee are made aware at least 72 hours in advance. In all other cases, teams will be fined £15.00
- Teams will be fined £10.00 per unregistered player and will be deducted a point for any legs that player has played in.
- Any player who has not signed the result sheet will forfeit a point to the opposing team.
- Any team with outstanding monies will be deducted 1 point per week until paid in full.
- Any registered player found to be making inappropriate comments to another player or committee member will be suspended till further notice
- Any case of misconduct or dispute must be reported to the secretary in writing within 7 days. After 7 days, no protest will be dealt with.
- Electronic score boards must have at least 3 scores showing
Fixture Rules
- The format of play is to be:
- Straight off, Double or inner bull to finish
- 3 rounds of best of 3 doubles, starting at 701
- 2 rounds of best of 3 singles, starting at 501
- Away team to throw first in legs 1 and 3
- Players must be there by 8.30pm, matches to start no later than 8.45pm.
- If a team has not shown up by this time then the opposing team is able to claim one leg every 10 minutes up until 3 legs have been claimed at which point they can claim the game (claiming a leg at 8.55, 9.05 and 9.15)
- A single point is awarded per round won, with an additional 2 points awarded for the winning team
- If a game is won by forfeit, only 5 points total will be awarded.
- All matches are to be played on a standard BDO dart board or the approved dart board provided by this league.
- The dartboard to be fixed to the backboard such that the perpendicular height from the centre of the bull to the floor is 5ft 8ins (1.73m) and the throw to be measured 7ft 91/4 ins (2.37 metres) along the floor from a plumb line from the face of the dartboard to the toe edge of the oche.
- Any protest regarding the legality of the throw should be made at the time.
- All players must sign their own name on the results sheet against their - printed- name no later than the start of the previous leg, or their leg will be forfeited.
- The captain's signature on a result sheet must be provided by a registered team member.
- To play a match, a team must have a minimum of 5 players and play the first doubles
- If only 5, then only the first 3 legs to be played (2 doubles and 1 singles)
- The opposing captain may blind draw out one player from the three pairs if a team is short.
- Teams must have 7 players to draw out
- A team can only draw out twice per half of the season (3 times in summer)
- If a registered player is present, they must play if the team is short
- Both captains must check and sign the results sheet at the end of the match.
- Any 180s scored must be noted and initialled by both captains on the results sheet.
- The home team is responsible for texting the result to the number provided in the league contacts section within 24 hours.
- Any outstanding results sheets must be handed in at the next meeting
- If a county player is not indicated on the results sheet, then all points will be awarded to the opposing team.-
- Any other disputes will be decided by the committee.
- In doubles, your partner can tell you what to go for.
- In singles, your captain can tell you what to go for.-
Cup Fixture Rules
All above fixture rules apply as well as the following
KO Cup and Shield
- The draw will be made at the monthly meeting. Preliminary matches will be played at the venue drawn and the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final will be played on one night, again at a neutral venue.
- Winning team is responsible for sending the result text message.
- All 5 legs must be played
- There is no drawing out players if short allowed during cup fixtures
Individual and Pairs Cups
- All competition entries must be handed in on time, late entries will not be accepted
- All players must be registered, played a minimum of 2 games and have paid the entrance fee.
- Players must be at the venue by 7-45pm to register; matches to start at 8-00pm, any player not registered at this time will not be allowed to play
- All matches will be best of 5 legs except the final, which will be over 7 legs.
- All singles are 501 straight off/double finish. All pairs are 701 straight off/double finish.
- First throw and deciding leg will be determined by the toss of a coin.
- Ladies to throw first in the mixed doubles.
- All players must be registered, played a minimum of 2 league games and paid the competition entrance fee
- Players who have turned up for matches but not managed to get a game can still get play credit by signing the bottom of a result sheet.
- If there is a large number of entries in the individual competitions, it will be split into 2 separate nights, with the final to be played later
- Ladies are allowed to play with another lady from a different team. Ladies can enter the doubles as a single and be paired on the night through a draw.

Text instructions for sending results
Using the captains registered number, send a single text to 07--- ------.
The text message must be in the format of the word won or lost followed by the score separated by spaces.
For example: “Won 3 2”, “Won 4 1”, “Won 5 0”, “Lost 3 2”, “Lost 4 1”, “Lost 5 0”
For claiming a forfeit, “Won 3 0” can be sent.
